"I'm Kick James, Pitch!!" has done it again, taking the Downtown Division title and adding to their trophy case. Overall they went 8-0-1, saving their best for last.
It was another strong season for "I'm Kick James, Pitch!!", notching a +51 run differential throughout the season. That didn't come without setbacks though. In the first game of the season they battled to a tough 2-1 win. Later on they'd battle to a 6-6 tie with " On Tuesdays We Wear PINK". But that would be the most runs they allowed all season, and after the tie they went back to their defensive ways.
That included their playoff run, where they won their first game of the night, battling to a 4-2 win over "Your Pitches Make My Kick Hard". In the championship they turned it up another notch, shutting out "Not Quite 70" by the ironic score of 7-0.

"Slow Baby Bouncies" is our Midtown Division champion despite a slow start to the season. Through their first five games they had just one win, but a three game winning streak at the end of the season catapulted them into third place.
After squeaking into the playoffs, "Slow Baby Bouncies" didn't have the easiest path to the championships, though they made it look easier than it should have been.
Defense was the name of the game for our eventual champs, allowing just one run total in their two playoff games. Their first game against "Superfriends" was a quality 3-0 shutout win, getting them into the finals.
And it only got easier from there, with "Slow Baby Bouncies" continuing their defensive dominance, holding the top regular season team in the league to just one run while their offense exploded for double digits. That was thanks in part to a great first couple of innings, and from there it was just cruise control. In the end, it was an 11-1 victory.
