"Flabumpo" is our latest Tuesday Volleyball champion, defeating "Scared Hitless" in a 2 sets to 1 victory.
It was a game fit for a championship, with "Flabumpo" coming out on top after a couple of tough sets. The first game went the distance with our champs winning 22-20, never giving an inch. In the second set "Scared hitless" tried to fight back, not wanting to go down without a fight. However, "Flabumpo shut the door on any comeback opportunity
Both teams went point for point, being tied at 8-8 early and again 14-14 midway through set number two. A couple of clutch points late for "Flabumpo" made all the difference though, securing the sweep with a 21-16 victory in that set.
The win caps a perfect season for "Flabumpo", a feat that is tough for even the our very best clubs. They started the season off with three straight 2-1 wins and from there they only got better. They'd pick up 3-0 sweeps in their remaining five games, red-hot going into the playoffs. In total our champs close with a +21 point differential topping second place's "Go Set Yourself!" by nearly double.
