  Dumpster Cats

Congratulations to "Dumpster Cats" on becoming the Monday Volleyball Champions!

“Dumpster Cats” are the Monday Volleyball Champions of the Summer ‘21 season, after defeating “Can’t Spike the Feeling” 2-0!

The long-time veterans of the beginner volleyball circuit, “Dumpster Cats” entered a fur-miliar situation by making it to the playoffs. In their first match, they scratched and clawed their way to a 2-0 sweep of “Net Results”. The matchup almost made the Cats cough up a hairball, but they advanced to the finals nonetheless.

In the finals, they met up with the number 1 seed team “Can’t Spike the Feeling”. In the first game of the match, the “Dumpster Cats” looked like cheetahs sprinting out to an early lead, but “Can’t Spike the Feeling” came out on fire and proved that they were not going to be whiskered away that easily. After a timeout, the Cats struck back and went on their own run to hold off “Can’t Spike the Feeling”, leading to a 21-17 victory. In the final game, the “Dumpster Cats” came out much more paw-sitive and pounced to an early lead that they never gave up. In what would go down in their team’s hiss-tory, the “Dumpster Cats” proved too much for “Can’t Spike the Feeling”, winning 21-13 to secure the championship and making the Cats feline good for their efforts!

Congratulations to “Dumpster Cats” on becoming the Monday Beginner Volleyball Champions and winners of $50 to Blue Cue!

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
