"The Herded Cats" are our Monday night volleyball champions for the second time in a row, finishing with an overall record of 9-1 this time around.
Just like last season "The Herded Cats" were the top dog, though things were not quite as easy this season. An unfortunate 2-1 loss to "Unprotected Sets" did break their unbeaten streak, but it may have also kept them grounded with just a couple weeks until the playoffs. But, like true champions, they came out for week eight as strong as ever and took a 3-0 win to close out the regular season strong.
In the playoffs "The Herded Cats" made quick work of "Bump, Set, Oops!" in a 2-0 sweep, punching their ticket to the championship. Meanwhile the #2 team from the regular season, "Let The Volleys Hit The...FLOOOOR!!!" was able to grab the win in the third set, setting up our final.
Things got hairy in the championship for "The Herded Cats" with the match going a full three sets. But, thanks to some timely hitting and defense, our defending champions were able to make it two in a row! Congratulations to them on another stellar season, and we look forward to having them in the league again this upcoming season. Can they make it three in a row?!
