Soccer - Sundays (Fall '16)

"Shark Attack" is our Sunday division 2 champion thanks to two 2-goal wins in last night's playoffs. Entering the season as an indy team this mish-mash of players was able to gel in a short amount of time to become a fantastic team!

Heading into the playoffs "Shark Week" entered as the #1 overall seed. In their first game they defeated "Team E" 2-0 with a great combo of defense and goalkeeping. That was a far cry from the previous matchup between the two teams earlier this season, when "Shark Week" won in a high-scoring 5-4 game.

In our other semifinal game "Cuervos FC" was able to edge out "We"ll Let You Know" in a one goal, 3-2 win to make their way to the final.

In the championship "Shark Week" was again the stronger team, though the game itself was tough to predict given some inconsistent play by "Cuervos FC" throughout season. That inconsistent play includes a 7-2 loss to "Shark Week" before they went on to win three in a row right before the playoffs.

Unlike their opponent "Shark Week" was consistent, and they were that once again in the final. Thanks to some great offense they were able to win the championship game by the score of 4-2, making them the Division 2 champions! Congratulations to them, and we look forward to seeing what they can do as a team in this upcoming season!
