“Sacramento Smash” are the Tuesday Volleyball Champions of the Summer ‘24 Season, after defeating “Sets on the Beach” 2-1!
It was the playoffs for Tuesday volleyball last night and it did not disappoint! After two very hard fought semifinal matches, the championship was finally set. “Sacramento Smash” and “Sets on the Beach” were the last two teams remaining in the tournament and no one knew who was going to take home the title! “Sets on the Beach” jumped out of the gates on fire in the first game and won 21-14. It looked like “Sets on the Beach” was going to be crowned the champions after the second game but “Sacramento Smash” had other ideas for game two. “Sacramento Smash” changed up their game plan and was able to win the second set 21-14 with their amazing teamwork! It was tied up after two games between these two heavy weights and it all came down to the third and final game. “Sacramento Smash” took an early lead in the third set with some incredible serves but “Sets on the Beach” came right back with some impressive rallies of their own. “Sacramento Smash” was able to find a groove late in the third game and won 21-12 to become the champions of Tuesday Volleyball!
