Volleyball - Beginner Tuesdays (Spring '25)

What a night for Tuesday Beginner Volleyball as the top five teams battled it out for the championship! It was a competitive bracket from start to finish, but in the end, Blair Hits Project put on a show and walked away with the title.

The action started with the #4 seed Blair Hits Project taking on #5 seed Sets on the Beach in the opening round. Blair Hits Project came out ready to play, showing off strong teamwork and consistency on the court. They stayed composed under pressure and secured the win with a clean 2-0 sweep, sending them through to the semifinals.

Their next challenge was no easy task as they went head-to-head with the #1 seed Serves You Right, a team that had been dominant all season long. But Blair Hits Project carried their momentum from the first match and didn’t back down. They executed smart plays, communicated well, and managed to pull off a huge upset, taking down the top seed with a 2-1 victory, punching their ticket to the finals.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the bracket, #2 seed Hits N Gigs took the court against the always-tough #3 seed Supernatural Spikers. Both teams came in ready to compete, but Hits N Gigs brought their A-game, showing solid defense and powerful serves to earn a convincing 2-0 win, setting the stage for an exciting championship matchup.

The finals featured Blair Hits Project and Hits N Gigs, and the crowd wasn’t disappointed. The first set was a nail-biter, with both teams trading points and making big plays, but Blair Hits Project managed to stay composed and edge out the win 21-19. With momentum on their side, they came out strong in the second set and never looked back, closing things out with a decisive 21-11 victory, sweeping the match 2-0 and claiming the championship!

A huge shoutout to Jonna G, who earned Player of the Game honors for an outstanding performance throughout the tournament!
