Sunday night in Rocklin brought the heat as our top teams battled it out at Clarke Dominguez Gym for the championship. The playoff bracket set the tone early, with the #1 seed H Flyers cruising past #8 Washed Kings 2-0, while #2 seed Team B handled #7 925 with authority, 2-0 again. #5 Buckets and Boards pulled off a strong win over #4 The Sacramento Seniors, winning 2 straight sets and #3 Broken Ankles dominated their matchup against #6 OSHA Violations, also 3 sets in a row to round out a stacked quarterfinal field. #7 seed 925 also battled past #10 seed Team C in Round 1 to earn their spot, winning 2-1.
In the semifinals, the top seeds held their ground. The #1 H Flyers (2–1) took down #5 Buckets and Boards in a competitive matchup, while #2 Team B (2–1) edged out #3 Broken Ankles to secure their spot in the finals. That set up a heavyweight showdown between the top two seeds—exactly the matchup everyone had been anticipating.
The championship series did not disappoint. #2 Team B came out firing, taking Game 1 with a decisive 22–20 win. The #1 H Flyers responded right back in Game 2 with a 22–8 statement, forcing a winner take all Game 3. With everything on the line, Team B locked in and delivered when it mattered most, closing out the series 21–15 to claim the title.
Big time plays, clutch moments, and a finals matchup worthy of the top seeds and a huge shoutout to all teams for an awesome and competitive season. We’ll see you all back out there next season! 🏀🔥
