Volleyball - Intermediate Sundays (Spring '26)

What a playoff performance! The #5 seeded ACE-Inhibitors caught fire at exactly the right time, pulling off an incredible three match run to capture the Sunday Intermediate Volleyball Championship at Turn Verein. Entering the playoffs as the lowest remaining seed, ACE-Inhibitors knocked off three higher seeded opponents in one afternoon to complete an unforgettable Cinderella story.

Their championship journey began in the quarterfinals against #4 LŌKAHI, where ACE-Inhibitors wasted no time making a statement. They earned a convincing 2-0 victory, punching their ticket to the semifinals and setting up a showdown with the regular season's top team.

Waiting for them was the #1 seeded Gold Diggers, but ACE-Inhibitors refused to be intimidated. In one of the biggest upsets of the day, they battled through a thrilling three set match to eliminate the top seed 2-1, proving they had what it took to contend for the title. Across the bracket, #2 Deez Nets survived their own hard fought semifinal, edging out #3 Fire Ferrets in another exciting 2-1 battle to reach the finals.

The championship match had everything you could ask for: hustle, skill, and a whole lot of heart. ACE-Inhibitors came out firing, taking the opening set 21-13, but Deez Nets showed incredible resilience and refused to go quietly. Trailing early in the match, they battled back with an underdog mentality to claim the second set 21-18, forcing a winner take all third set. With the championship hanging in the balance, both teams traded points in a thrilling back and forth battle, refusing to give an inch. Late in the deciding set, ACE-Inhibitors found another gear, stringing together back to back kills to seize control before closing out the match 21-13 and completing their unforgettable championship run.

Congratulations to the #5 seeded ACE-Inhibitors on an incredible championship! Taking down the #4, #1, and #2 seeds in succession is an amazing accomplishment and one that won't soon be forgotten. A huge congratulations as well to Deez Nets, Gold Diggers, Fire Ferrets, and LŌKAHI for an outstanding season and an exciting afternoon of volleyball. What an incredible finish! 🏐🎉
