"Team Iceland" is our Division 1 champion, defeating a stout "Benchwarmers" squad that has always played them well. After a first round win over "A.F.C. Arden" the "Benchwarmers" looked poised to topple the division's top team. However, "Team Iceland" was just too good, allowing just a lone goal en route to their 2-1 title win.
Oddly enough the season didn't start off on the brightest of notes, with "Team Iceland" losing the first game of the season to the "Benchwarmers" by the score of 5-2. But over the course of the season as the teams because familiar with one another "Team Iceland" started figuring it out. Midway through the season the two teams played to a 3-3 draw, before capping it all off with the championship win.
Overall "Team Iceland" finishes with a 7-1-1 record, good for 15 points in the standings. That places them a full 3 points over "Benchwarmers" in second. Our champs also topped their rivals in point differential, notching a +16 to their +10. The two teams were close all season, but in the end it was "Team Iceland" back on top. Congratulations to them on a fantastic season!

"Solidy Mediocre" takes the Divison 3 championship with ease, defeating "Dunno" by the score of 5-0 in a blowout. The win was never in doubt, especially after our champs had already defeated their opponent twice this season by the scores of 5-2 and 8-3.
It was quite and epic run for our champions, making their way from a middle of the pack team in Division 3 over the past couple of season to a force to be reckoned with. Their growth as a team has been phenomenal, and part of the reason why they will be making the jump to Division 2 next season.
In all "Solidy Mediocre" finishes with a more than solid 8-1 record. Most impressive is their point differential, ending with a whopping +33! To put that into perspective, the second and third place teams in the division combined for a +7. And our champs nearly quintupled that!
Congratulations to "Solidly Mediocre" on the excellent season. Their growth as a team has been tremendous and we can wait to see what they can do next season!

"The Goonies" are our Division 2 champion, defeating back-to-back playoff opponents behind a high-powered offense. In total they netted 12 goals, six in each of their two games. That included a 6-4 semifinal win to put them in the league final, before winning 6-5 in the title game itself. It was an offensive performance for the ages!
Due to the incredible scoring, "The Goonies" also finish as the division's highest scoring team. In fact, they managed to score six or more goals 6 times this season. That amount of offensive pressure can make it tough for any opponent, and the playoffs were no different.
Thanks to their offense our champs also finished with a +18 point differential, topping the league by....6 goals. That seems to have been their lucky number this season! They also finish the season with a division-leading 8-2 record.
