“H Flyers” are the Thursday Basketball Champions of the Fall ‘23 Season after defeating “Nose pick n Roll” 2-1!
It was the playoffs for Thursday Basketball last night and it did not disappoint! “H Flyers” and “Nose pick n Roll’” made it to the championship and no one knew who was going to walk away as the champions of the Thursday Rec Legue! The championship started off with “H Flyers” scoring the first point of the match. “Nose pick n Roll” came right back and immediately made their first shot of the game to tie it up, but “H Flyers” could not be stopped. “H Flyers” kept making three after three and won the first game 21-11. After losing the first game, “Nose pick n Roll” turned up the heat and took a commanding lead in game two. It looked like “Nose pick n Roll” were going to easily win the game but “H Flyers” weren't going down without a fight. “H Flyers” kept it close until the very end but “Nose pick n Roll” came out on top and won the second game 16-14 forcing a third and final match. The championship deciding game started out as a nail biter with both teams matching each other point for point. It looked like the championship would come down to the final shot but “H Flyers” started to make great play after great play by playing smart basketball. “Nose pick n Roll” played their hearts out and kept it competitive all the way until the end but “H Flyers” proved that they’re the best team in the league by winning the third game 21-14 and becoming the champions of Thursday Rec League!

It was the playoffs for Thursday Basketball last night and it did not disappoint! “3 The Hard Way” and “Swish Kebabs’” made it to the championship and it was a match to remember! The championship started off with “Swish Kebabs” scoring the first point of the match. “3 The Hard Way” came right back and immediately made a jump shot to tie it up and they never looked back from there. “3 The Hard Way” kept making shot after shot and won the first game 21-6. After losing the first game, “Swish Kebabs” turned up the heat and kept it competitive but “3 The Hard Way” was too hot to handle. “3 The Hard Way” caught fire towards the end of game two and won 21-7. “3 The Hard Way” started to play smart basketball halfway through the second match and made every shot they took. “Swish Kebabs” played their hearts out and applied a lot of pressure to “3 The Hard Way” defense, but “3 The Hard Way” proved that they’re still the team to beat in our Thursday competitive Basketball league!
