Our Summer 2014 Sunday Soccer league wrapped up yesterday as former champions and perennial contenders Plan B won the season title.
Plan B capped off a fantastic season with a 5-3 win over The Scoregasms in the final week of the season. Plan B demonstrated a formidable combination of talent and experience on the pitch this season, and while a few teams were able to give Plan B a run for their money, only Team Iceland came away with a draw, all other opponents walked away with a loss, giving Plan B an outstanding 7-0-1 record at seasons end.
In a high scoring league, it may have been Plan B's defense that carried them to the championship. They held each of their opponents to 3 goals or less and were excellent at taking advantage of opponents turnovers and turning them into goals.
Congratulations to Plan B and to all of the teams that competed in Division 1 of the Sunday soccer league.

Our Summer 2014 Sunday Soccer season concluded on Sunday with Purple Drank FC being crowned our division 2 champions.
It was a remarkable season for Purple Drank FC who capped off a perfect season on Sunday with a 4-0 drubbing of Here For Beer FC. Second place in the league went to AC Dead People, with a 6-2 record. The two teams met in a mid-season clash that went Purple Drank FC's way in a well played 2-0 game.
Purple Drank FC will move to division 1 for the upcoming season and take on the leagues best teams. Congratulations to Purple Drank FC and to all of the teams that competed in division 2 of a great soccer season.
