“Los Bandidos” are the Downtown Kickball Champions of the Ltat ‘21 Season, after defeating “F your couch” 3-2!
The top two teams battled it out on Wednesday night to see who would be crowned the champions of kickball, and it did not disappoint. “Los Bandidos” had already taken down “F your couch” in their last match during the regular season so they came into the game with a lot of confidence, but “F your couch” was not going down without a fight. The first few innings were a defensive battle with both teams only scoring one run. It was anyone's game, until “Los Bandidos” scored two more clutch runs late in the game to give them the lead. “F your couch” kept it close till the end, but “Los Bandidos” defense stayed strong in the last few innings and prevented “F your couch” from scoring another run. “Los Bandidos” incredible teamwork and impressive defense gave them to edge they needed to win the championship 3-1!

In a showdown for the ages, “Kicking and Screaming” took on “Dodgeaholics” in the championship kickball game that had everyone on the edge of their seats! From the first kick to the final out, it was a game filled with thrills, spills, and plenty of nail biters.
“Kicking and Screaming” wasted no time making their presence known, literally coming out kicking in the first inning. With swift kicks and strategic base running, they set the tone early, leaving “Dodgeaholics” scrambling to keep up. By the end of the first inning, “Kicking and Screaming” had taken a commanding 3-0 lead, leaving their opponents reeling.
But “Dodgeaholics” weren't about to back down without a fight. In the second inning, they showed their defensive prowess, shutting out “Kicking and Screaming” and managing to put a run on the board themselves, making it 3-1. It was a display of resilience that had both teams and the crowd on the edge of their seats.
As the game progressed, both teams battled fiercely, with each inning bringing its own twists and turns. In the third inning, “Kicking and Screaming” managed to extend their lead to 4-1, but “Dodgeaholics” proved they weren't out of the game just yet, holding their opponents scoreless in the fourth inning.
The tension reached its peak in the fifth and final inning. “Kicking and Screaming” managed to tack on another run, making it 5-1, but “Dodgeaholics” weren't going down without a fight. With bases loaded and two outs, they mounted a last-ditch effort to stage a comeback. In a heart-stopping moment, they managed to score one run, but it wasn't enough to overcome “Kicking and Screaming’s” lead.
In the end, “Kicking and Screaming“ emerged victorious with a final score of 8-2, clinching the championship title in a game that will be remembered for years to come
