“Team F” are the Thursday Rec. Basketball Champions of the Summer ‘24 Season, after defeating “Netflix and Hoop” 2-0!
It was the playoffs for Thursday basketball last night and it didn’t disappoint. “Team F” and the “Netflix and Hoop” met in the championship and no one knew who was going to walk away as the champions of Thursday Basketball. “Team F” came out on fire in the first game. They couldn’t miss a shot and they dominated on the defensive end. Their defense didn’t allow “Netflix and Hoop’s” offense to get anything going for most of the first game. With a few minutes left, “Netflix and Hoop’s” offense started to heat up but it was too late. “Team F” made two impressive shots back to back and won the first game 21-14.
“Team F” started game two with the same energy by playing smart basketball on the offensive end and suffocating their opponent with their defense. Their scoring ability was almost effortless and it was incredible to watch. However, “Netflix and Hoop” kept it close by playing great defense and not allowing “Team F” to score any points for a few minutes. “Team F” started to find a groove and score a few buckets back to back which gave them a little bit of a cushion, but “Netflix and Hoop” found a rhythm of their own at the midway point of the second game which kept it competitive until the end. Both teams played their hearts out and it looked like “Netflix and Hoop” were going to force a third and final game, but “Team F” had the championship in their sights and no one was going to stop them. “Team F” made one final three and won the game 21-17!

“Team Q” are the Thursday Comp. Basketball Champions of the Summer ‘24 after defeating “Team Underdogs” 2-1!
It was the playoffs for Thursday Basketball last night and it did not disappoint! “Team Q” and “Team Underdogs’” made it to the championship and it was a match to remember! The championship started off with “Team Underdogs” scoring the first point of the match. “Team Q” came right back and immediately made a three pointer to tie it up, but “Team Underdogs” kept making three after three and won the first game 21-18. After losing the first game, “Team Q” turned up the heat and took a commanding lead early in game two. It looked like “Team Q” were going to easily win the game but “Team Underdogs” wasn’t going down without a fight. “Team Underdogs” kept it close until the very end but “Team Q” came out on top and won the second game 21-17 and forced a third and final match. The championship deciding game started out as a nail biter with both teams matching each other point for point. It looked like the championship would come down to the final shot of the game but “Team Q” started to make great play after great play by playing smart basketball. “Team Underdogs” played their hearts out and kept it competitive all the way until the end but “Team Q” proved that they’re the best team in the league by winning the third game 21-18 and becoming the champions of Thursday Basketball!
