"Kung Pao Kix" is our latest Sunday Soccer league champion after winning back to back one goal games in last night's playoffs. Entering the playoffs "Kung Pao Kix" had losses to both their playoff opponents, including a close one to "Tangarang FC" near the end of the season.
Their defense may not have been on point, but their offense was able to pick up the slack as "Kung Pao Kix" scored 12 goal in their 2 playoff games. That included a 6-5 win over last season's champion, "Team Iceland", in the first round of the playoffs. This wasn't the only upset of the night though, as #3 "Tangarang FC" also beat their higher ranked opponent, setting up a championship with two underdogs.
Neither team played that way though, as both teams were able to bang in goals and keep their opponent on their toes. Much like their regular season contest, the game went down to the wire before "Kung Pao Kix" was able to prevail. Congratulations to them on a well-played season!
