âDonkeys of the Swampâ are the Friday Softball Champions of the Fall â21 Season, after defeating âRiver Dogsâ 10-6!
It was position week for Friday softball, which meant the top two teams âDonkeys of the Swamp'' and âRiver Dogsâ battled it out for the championship. They faced each other during the regular season, and that game turned out to be one for the history books. The âRiver Dogsâ were able to defeat âDonkeys of the Swampâ in their first matchup, so âDonkeys of the Swampâ were eager to exact their revenge in the championship. The game started out very evenly matched, with both teams scoring a few runs of their own in the first two innings. Neither of these two heavy weights could pull away from the other. The âDonkeys of the Swampâ offense came alive in the 5th inning and scored a few runs to give them a comfortable five run lead, but the âRiver Dogsâ were not going down without a fight. âRiver Dogsâ started to make a comeback in the last inning, but the âDonkeys of the Swampâ were able to hold off the impressive âRiver Dogsâ offense and win the championship 10-6!
