"SacTown Big Digs" clinched the Sunday Intermediate Championship for the Winter '24 season with a commanding 2-0 victory over "Blockfest Club"!

The playoffs were a rollercoaster of excitement, kicking off with a thrilling quarterfinal clash between #4 seed LŌKAHI and #5 seed "Blockfest." The intensity was palpable as "Blockfest Club" secured a hard-fought 2-1 win, propelling them into the semifinals against top-seeded "Little Giants." Despite a valiant effort from "Little Giants," "Blockfest Club" maintained their momentum and clinched the semifinal spot in a tense showdown.

Meanwhile, the other semifinal saw a fierce battle between #2 seed "ACE-Inhibitors" and #3 seed "SacTown Big Digs." With both teams determined to secure victory, "SacTown Big Digs" emerged victorious in a nail-biting third match, showcasing impeccable bumping, setting, and spiking skills.

The stage was set for an epic final showdown between #5 seed "Blockfest" and #3 seed "SacTown Big Digs." Although "Blockfest Club" started strong, quickly amassing four consecutive points, the tide turned when "SacTown Big Digs" rallied back with six consecutive points of their own. From there, they dominated the first game with flawless execution, clinching it 21-16. The second game was a tight affair, with "Blockfest Club" showcasing their prowess at the net. However, "SacTown Big Digs" maintained their composure and emerged triumphant with a 21-15 victory, securing the championship title in style.
