“Bryce United” are the Friday Open Division Soccer Champions of the Summer ‘24 season, after defeating “West Ham Sandwiches” 4-2!
“Bryce United” came into the playoffs as one of the favorites to take home the title. Their incredible offense is why they finished as one of the top teams in their division, but their impressive defense and amazing teamwork was the reason why they made it to the finals. The championship started off very evenly matched with neither team being able to pull away from the other, but everything changed when “Bryce United” scored an unbelievable goal midway through the first half. “West Ham Sandwiches” kept applying pressure to “Bryce United’s” defense, but “Bryce United” stayed strong and did not allow them to score in the first half. The second half started off as a defensive battle, but “West Ham Sandwiches” were able to score a goal of their own to tie it up. It looked like the championship was up for grabs, but “Bryce United” turned up the heat and scored a couple more goals to take a commanding 4-2 lead. “West Ham Sandwiches” played their hearts out but “Bryce United” were too hot to handle!
