“Outer Milan” are the Division 3 Sunday Soccer Champions of the Fall ‘24 season, after defeating “Maroon 8” 3-2!
“Outer Milan” came into the playoffs as one of the favorites to take home the title. Their incredible offense is why they finished as one of the top teams in their division, but their impressive defense and amazing teamwork was the reason why they made it to the finals. The championship started off evenly matched with neither team being able to pull away from the other, but everything changed when “Outer Milan” scored an unbelievable goal midway through the first half. “Maroon 8” kept applying pressure to “Outer Milan” defense, but “Outer Milan” stayed strong and did not allow them to score in the first half. The second half started off as a defensive battle until “Maroon 8” scored a goal of their own to tie it up. It looked like the championship was up for grabs, but “Outer Milan” turned up the heat and scored one last goal to take a 3-2 lead. “Maroon 8” played their hearts out but “Outer Milan” was too hot to handle!
