Volleyball - Thursdays: Intermediate at TV (Summer '25)

The Thursday Intermediate Volleyball league wrapped up on a high note this week, with a thrilling championship match between the Ace Slinging Slashers and Calm Your Tips. The game took place at Turn Verein on Court 1, with the Ace Slinging Slashers (8-2-0) facing off against Calm Your Tips (7-3-0) for the title.

It was a tough road to the finals for both teams, with the Slashers edging past Sneaky BS (2-1 in sets) in the semifinals and Calm Your Tips overcoming Net Positive in a close 2-1 match. Both teams entered the final with strong regular season records, and it was clear that the competition would be fierce.

The final was a dominating performance by Ace Slinging Slashers, who won 2 of the three sets, with scores of 21-14, 21-23, 21-12. Despite a strong push from Calm Your Tips in the second set, the Slashers’ powerful serving and consistent attack from their outside hitters proved to be the difference. The third set saw the Slashers lock in defensively, refusing to give up any significant runs, ultimately securing their victory and claiming the championship.

Ace Slinging Slashers’ dominant performance throughout the tournament earned them the crown as this season’s champions. Meanwhile, Calm Your Tips had to settle for second place, but their run to the finals still demonstrated their strength and resilience, making them a team to watch next season
