SAND Volleyball - Beginner Wednesdays (Late Spring '25)

It was a perfect summer evening at Howe Park for the Sand Volleyball playoffs, and the action on the courts did not disappoint. With six teams battling it out in single-elimination format, the path to the title was anything but easy — unless, of course, you’re The Volley Llamas, who stormed through the bracket in dominant fashion to claim the crown.

The quarterfinals kicked off with strong showings from the higher seeds. On Court 1, #4 Volley Partons handled business with a clean 2–0 sweep over #5 Sandshrews. Across the sand on Court 2, #3 Hardcore Sets matched that energy, shutting out #6 Sets on the Beach with a decisive 2–0 win of their own.

That led into a loaded semifinal round, where the top two seeds entered the mix. #1 The Volley Llamas, rested and ready, quickly made their mark by defeating the Volley Partons 2–0, flexing their precision and chemistry. Meanwhile, #2 Cold 6 Pack served up a powerful performance of their own, knocking out Hardcore Sets 2–0 to earn their spot in the final.

The championship match featured the two top teams all season long: #1 The Volley Llamas vs. #2 Cold 6 Pack. But in the end, it was all Llamas. With confident serves, well-timed blocks, and smooth team communication, they rolled to a 2–0 victory — sweeping their way through the entire bracket without dropping a single set.
