Cornhole - Thursdays (Spring '16)

"Is That My Corn In Your Hole?" is our latest Thursday Cornhole league champion following a championship game sweep at 3 Fires Lounge. The championship win seals an undefeated 8-0-1 record for this group of misfits.

Throughout the season our champion was dominant, picking up wins like they were nothing. The only blemish on their record, a 2-2 tie, came against the "Amateur Corn Stars". But, other than that, it was win after win for "Is That My Corn In Your Hole?"

The championship game came down to two teams with great players. Their opponent was the most experienced team in our Thursday league, "Nothing But Meow Meow", who also had a strong season heading into the final. Their only loss came to our eventual champs earlier in the season. Unfortunately for them, the rematch would be more of the same.

Each team battled fiercely all season, so it only made sense to face off for the league championship. Two players from each team played in the game, Bryan and Scott vs. Tom and John, for the entire round.

All gentlemen were evenly matched, cancelling each other's bags regularly. Most sacks, when they finally could get in, snuck in the hole or dodged around blockers, including a stunning marvel from Bryan and Scott of "Is That My Corn In Your Hole?" "Nothing But Meow Meow" tried to keep up, but there was magic to be made by the eventual champs...even without their infamous "Albatross" shot. In the end "Is That My Corn In Your Hole?" won swiftly 3-0, ending the season -- but not a lifelong friendship with these cornholers.
