"United" is our new Tuesday Night Soccer champion! One of the favorites to win it this season, "United" was still an underdog in the championship as they took on the juggernaut that is "Plan B". Having lost to them twice already this season by a combined score of 8-1, it was definitely going to be a tough game.
But, "United" didn't let that phase them, knowing they were certainly capable of taking anyone down on any given night. They used the momentum from their 1-0 shutout of "Lady Bugs" in their first game of the night to jump on "Plan B" by scoring four goals, the most they has allowed all season. Couple that with some good defense, and you have the perfect recipe for an upset!
All season "United" had their eyes on the title, with their hard work paying off and culminating in a 4-2 championship win. Congratulations to them on making it over the hump. We can't wait to see what they do next season, and see if they can defend their title! We know "Plan B" and the rest of the Tuesday night league will be itching for their spot atop the podium!
