Los Kickers were crowned championships Tuesday night after winning 3 straight games in the playoffs to cap a 6-2 regular season. Bolstered by a lock down defense, timely kicking, and aggressive base running, Los Kickers stormed through the competition, emerging all the way from the #3 seed to win the title.
Los Kickers started out the night with a 4-1 victory over Fresh Kicks of Ball-Air. Despite a quality defensive performance, Fresh Kicks were unable to secure the win as Los Kickers continually made great plays in the field to strand runners on base. Advancing to the semi-final match, Los Kickers faced an early threat from the Alcoballics, but promptly went on to win 6-1 behind a strong offensive performance.
It was in the final match of the night where Los Kickers would face their greatest threat, as the Degenerates matched each fantastic defensive play by Los Kickers with one of their own. Thanks to a late inning RBI to push Los Kickers ahead, the Degenerates would fall just a single run short of victory, coming up short in their attempt to avenge their sole regular season loss against Los Kickers in Week 3.
