Our top two teams that faced off were 'Got Beer?' and 'Sand Baggers', teams that had previously played to draws against each other and were looking to win it all!
In Game 1, Brad & Nick from 'Got Beer?' faced off against Scott & Amy of 'Sand Baggers'. Amy and Brad were very evenly matched, often canceling each other's cornholes right after one made it! Nick was the star of this game as he slid bags in the hole and got multiple on the board. Although 'Got Beer?' got out to a large 18-6 lead after a few rounds, 'Sand Baggers' battled back to make it 20-18! In the end, Brad blocked the hole with three on the board and won the first game giving 'Got Beer?' a 1-0 lead.
Game 2 was Ha & Brad versus Melissa & Steve, and although the 'Sand Baggers' kept it close from the get go, even eeking ahead because they're great under pressure, 'Got Beer?' took the second win of the night thanks to Brad & Ha being dialed in. Just like that 'Got Beer?' was up 2-0.
Game 3 was Amy & Scott vs Ann & Ha, and 'Sand Baggers' took the lead right away. Amy was on fire scoring bags in the hole, as Ann got points on the board. It seemed like for every 2 bags Ha made, Scott could cancel one! Still, 'Sand Baggers' remained ahead, and even with 'Got Beer?' catching up 19-16, they pulled out the win with an awesome last ringer by Amy keeping them in the game.
In game 4 we saw Ha & Brad vs Melissa & Steve. A lot of board crowding in this game, but Ha made some awesome hops over the blocks while Brad and Melissa battled against each other, canceling out all of their hole points. Slowly 'Got Beer?' widened the score gap with more and more Cornholes, and on the last round Ha nailed 2 in around a crowded hole to take the win!!
A great season for 'Got Beer?' who showed us they are more than just the neighborhood drunks (as their name would suggest) because they also 'got hardware' after a great 3-1 championship win.
We look forward to seeing both of these teams return next season, and for 'Got Beer?' to defend their title!!
