Raptors Realize Championship Dreams

"Raptors FC" is our Thursday night soccer league winner after a couple of close wins last night on the pitch.

Entering the night as the top seed, "Raptors FC" took on "FC Pachanga" in the first game of the night. Both teams brought their 'A' games, but after 50 minutes we had a 2-2 score so the game went to penalties. Even during penalty kicks the game had to go a few extra rounds, but eventually in round 7 "Raptors FC" was able to win it 7-6.

While "Raptors FC" was getting a breather, they awaited the winner of the next game between #2 "Sheer Gold" and #3 "Trespassers United". This game was also a nail-biter, much like the first one of the night. But "Sheer Gold", who was the last team to win our Thursday league championship last year, proved too much for their opponent taking a 2-1 victory and securing their spot in the championship.

Earlier this season "Sheer Gold" defeated "Raptors FC" by the final of 4-2. But, despite previous results, "Raptors FC" was the one who walked away the victor with a 3-1 win in the final.

Congrats to captain Amit and his "Raptors FC" side as they proved to be the top team in our Thursday night league! We look forward to seeing what they can do in our inaugural Tuesday night league.

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
