"Team Iceland" is our top team in Division 1 once again, finishing with an 8-2 record overall.
This time they'd enter the playoffs as the #3 seed, but that didn't keep them from winning another championship. They took out 2 "Benchwarmers" in the first round by the score of 6-2, making it clear who the better team was in that matchup. This despite "Team Iceland" losing to them earlier in the season by the score of 6-3.
In the championship game "Team Iceland" faced the top seed from the regular season "The Franklin". Prior to the championship, the only team they had lost to all season was "Team Iceland", and that was in the first game of the season. Other than that, "The Franklin" was perfect through the remainder of the season, finishing 7-0.
But after their first round win to reach the championship, they ran into the buzzsaw that is "Team Iceland". In that final game it was "Team Iceland" who took the 3-1 victory, sealing yet another championship title for them. Congratulations to "Team Iceland" on another successful season! We hope they enjoy the break, and to see them next season!

"Real Thirsty FC" is our Division 2 champion, sealing a finals win with a 2-0 victory over "The Independents".
First-time champ "Real Thirsty FC" was the top team through the regular season, losing just once in eight games. That loss was a bit troubling though, having dropped that eighth game by the final of 5-1 just before the playoffs.
It didn't matter much though, with "Real Thirsty FC" picking up the wins when it counted most. In the first round of they playoffs they easily took care of "Phoenix FC" 5-2. In the other half of the bracket "Too Much Junk" lost to the lower seeded "The Independents", setting up our finals match-up.
In the championship game "Real Thirsty FC" stuck to what they do best, and that's staying strong defensively. They brought it for the championship, leading to a 2-0 shutout of their opponents "The Independents"! Congratulations to "Real Thirsty FC" on the title victory, and we hope to see them back for the upcoming season!
