Down to the Wire

They say a tie is like kissing your sibling... but if your they're good-looking then maybe it's not so bad...

In this case a tie and a split championship between "Ramrods" and "We Got the Runs" in a back and forth, extra-inning game. And, despite the tie it was a great season for them both, each worthy of being called the hot sibling.

The two champions had their offenses on point all night, with "Ramrods" scoring 16 runs and "We Got the Runs" scoring 20 in each of their two games.

For the "Ramrods" it was a great underdog story, having lost 3 of their first 4 games to start the season. But, they battled back one game at a time and after a great run were able to make their way into the playoffs, and eventually the championship!

The opposite was true for "We Got the Runs", a favorite again after winning it all last season. They were on cruise control all season, finishing with a 6-2 regular season record. They did lose to "Ramrods" in the final game of the season, and maybe that nail-biting 6-5 game was a foreshadowing of things to come for the championship game.

Either way congrats to both "Ramrods" and "We Got the Runs" on successful campaigns!

Wildin' Out

"Wild Out Wednesdays" is our Midtown Division champion after a dominant championship performance! This coming despite being the 3rd seed in the playoff bracket. After a 10-6 win in the semifinals they went and played even better in the final, picking up a 12-4 win over #4 "Bengay Ballers". It was definitely a night of upsets!

It wasn't all rainbows and butterflies for "Wild Out Wednesdays" though. They started the season a bit rough, going 1-1-1 through their first three games. But, after a loss to "Tears for Beers" something clicked and they went on quite the winning streak. Five wins in all, including a 6-4 win over the best team in the regular season, "Gumby Bears".

That winning streak took them all the way to the playoffs as the third seed, but i didn't end there. Their first round win over "Tears for Beers" was payback for a loss earlier in the season, and then they took care of business against "Bengay Ballers" in the championship.

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
