"Heavy Petting Zoo" is our Downtown division champion, taking down "Team B" in an intense 5-4 title game win.
It always felt like these two teams were destined to meet in the finals, having been the clear front-runners all season. However, while "Team B" was known for their incredible offense by regularly putting up double digit run totals, "Heavy Petting Zoo" had a knack for pulling out wins in tight contests. In fact, six of their wins were decided by three or less runs. It was quite the clash in styles.
After defeating "Hurting Cats" 9-6 in round one, "Heavy Petting Zoo" brought the defense and took home the 5-4 win. At times things got a little nervy, but our champions are saavy veterans and knew how to handle the pressure. Once again, they were able to come out on top by keeping their opponent just far enough at bay to take home the victory.

"Pitches Be Crazy" is our Midtown Division champion, winning a couple of extremely close games in the process.
The theme of the night was offense, and in their first game of the night they won a thrilling 9-8 game, putting up just enough runs to take the victory. They followed that up in the championship with an 8-6 over "All In." to take the title.
All season "Pitches Be Crazy" showed they were the team to beat, and when it came to the playoffs that proved true. After getting their bearings in the first couple of games their offense exploded, leading to a league high +43 point differential. In fact, there was a seven game span where our champs scored at least 9 runs. That run ended in the championship game, though they still scored 8 in the title win.
