Congratulations to We’re just friends on their Tuesdays Volleyball championship. Their night started off with some well-deserved rest coming in as an undefeated number 1 seed. They got right to business taking care of Notorious DIG in two sets 21-13 and 21-18 securing their slot for the finals. No Cap’s rise to the finals were not as smooth as they had a dogfight against Block Party. In the first game, No Cap looked to be the favorites going in winning the first set 21-9, but Block Party lived up to their names putting a brick wall up and not allowing No Cap to even sniff a kill. In the third set, No Cap showed they were the real deal and took care of business 21-14 cementing their spot in the finals. So the championship was set: No Cap vs We’re Just Friends. No Cap was looking for revenge from earlier in the season making this their grudge match. We’re Just Friends were poised and took care of business from great runs from Wesley and Carlee from their serves leading their team to a 21-17 victory. No Cap buckled down and won an extremely close game 21-19. In the third and final game of the season, it was an amazing game full of diving saves and amazing aces. The game was 19-17 with No Cap winning, but the Friends rallied back to knot it up 19-19. Then No Cap struck back with game point. 20-19. With a bad break from the net, We’re Just Friend tied the game up, and they went back and forth until the game was the ever-so-rare 22-22 tie. With the game down to the final point, No Cap had the serve, but We’re Just Friends walked away with the point and the championship.
