“Ball Slappers” are the Wednesday Beginner Volleyball Champions of the Late Spring ‘24 Season, after defeating “Chewblocka” 2-0!
“Ball Slappers” entered the playoffs as the #4 seed and as one of the favorites to win the championship. “Ball Slappers” were not happy about losing their previous matchup to “Free ballin”, so they were fired up when they found out they would have a rematch with “Free ballin” in the first round. Both teams were evenly matched and it all came down to the third and final set. Neither team gave an inch to the other, but “Ball Slappers” won the third game 21-15 and claimed their revenge on “Free ballin”. “Ball Slappers” still had a lot of work to do before they could crown themselves as the champions because they were set to face “Chewblocka” in the final match of the season.
The finals were set and It all came down to who would win between “Ball Slappers” and “Chewblocka”. “Ball Slappers” defeated “Chewblocka” last time they faced each other so “Chewblocka” was ready to exact their revenge. The first game of the match was extremely close and neither team could pull away from one another. The first set came all the way down to the wire but “Ball Slappers” were able to win the first game 21-18 with some impressive serves and rallies! “Chewblocka” had to win the next set to force a third game but “Ball Slappers” could not be stopped. “Ball Slappers” played out of their minds in the second game and won 21-18! Even as underdogs, “Ball Slappers” were able to take down the #3 seed and win the Wednesday Beginner Volleyball Championship!
