“BALL OF DUTY” are the Thursday Softball Champions of the Summer ‘24 season, after defeating “Fire It UP” 11-10!
It was the playoffs for our Thursday softball league last night and it did not disappoint!. Both “BALL OF DUTY” and “Fire It UP” have an impressive offense so everyone was ready for the fireworks and that’s exactly what they got. “BALL OF DUTY” was able to jump out to an early lead with some incredible base running and timely hitting in the first inning. The “BALL OF DUTY” players were oozing with confidence after their offensive explosion in the first, but “Fire It UP” was ready for the challenge and not afraid of an uphill battle. “Fire It UP” was able to score a few runs of their own and retake the lead. Both teams were exchanging heavy blows on the offensive end and taking the lead back from the other. “BALL OF DUTY” scored 4 runs in the fifth inning to take a commanding lead and it looked like they were going to be crowned the champions, but “Fire It UP” had other ideas. “Fire It Up” mounted a huge comeback and tied it up in the last inning. “BALL OF DUTY” had one last attempt to win the championship and they took full advantage of it. “BALL OF DUTY” Scored one final run and won the championship. It was a championship game for the ages and “BALL OF DUTY” proved that they are the best in the west by defeating “Fire It Up” 11-10!
