“Unprotected Sets” are the Friday Beginner Volleyball Champions of the Fall ‘24 Season, after defeating “Nothing but Net” 2-1!
It was the playoffs for Friday Beginner volleyball last night and it did not disappoint! After two very hard fought semifinal matches, the championship was finally set. “Unprotected Sets” and “Nothing but Net” were the last two teams remaining in the tournament and no one knew who was going to take home the title! “Unprotected Sets” jumped out of the gates on fire in the first game and won 21-17. It looked like “Unprotected Sets” were going to be crowned the champions after the second game but “Nothing but Net” had other ideas for game two. “Nothing but Net” changed up their game plan and were able to win the second set 21-15 with their amazing teamwork! It was tied up after two games between these two heavy weights and it all came down to the third and final game. “Unprotected Sets” took an early lead in the third set with some incredible serves but “Nothing but Net” came right back with some impressive rallies of their own. “Unprotected Sets” were able to find a groove late in the third game and won 21-15 to become the champions of Friday Beginner Volleyball!
