The playoffs for our Thursday Intermediate Volleyball league brought the heat, with the top four teams giving it everything they had. In the first semifinal, the #1 seed Midlife Sets took on #4 seed My Kill is Karma. Midlife Sets came out strong and maintained control throughout the match, earning a solid 2-0 win to move on to the finals.
Next up, the #2 seed Block Party faced off against the #3 seed B52’s. In what turned out to be a dominant showing, the B52’s swept the match 2-0, setting up a much-anticipated rematch in the finals against Midlife Sets—a team they battled in the very first week of the season.
The championship match lived up to the hype. Just like their Week 1 encounter, it was a close and exciting three-set showdown. In the end, the B52’s edged out Midlife Sets with a 2-1 victory to take the title.
Huge congratulations to the B52’s for a fantastic playoff run and a well-earned championship win! Thanks to all the teams for a competitive and fun season—we can’t wait to see you all back next time.
