The Thursday Beginner Volleyball playoffs brought an exciting and competitive atmosphere, with the top four teams battling hard for the championship title. The first semifinal featured the #1 seed Free Ballin’ going head-to-head against the #4 seed D.I.G. It was a tight match from start to finish, with D.I.G. putting up a strong fight, but Free Ballin’ ultimately pulled through with a 2-1 victory to secure their spot in the finals. Meanwhile, the other semifinal saw the #3 seed SERVE-ivors face off against the #2 seed Block Party. From the very first serve, the SERVE-ivors dominated the court, sweeping the match 2-0 and earning their place in the championship game with momentum on their side.
The finals brought an exciting rematch between Free Ballin’ and the SERVE-ivors, who had previously met in Week 2 with the same scoreline. Once again, Free Ballin’ came out strong, controlling the flow of the game and taking the championship in straight sets, 2-0, without needing a third match. Their victory marked a well-earned finish to a great season and demonstrated their consistency and skill throughout the league.
Congratulations to Free Ballin’ for an incredible season and a well-deserved championship! Huge thanks to all the teams for their competitive spirit and dedication, making the Thursday Beginner Volleyball league so much fun to watch and play in.
