The Kick Stops Here: Los Kickers Reign Supreme!

The summer heat wasn’t the only thing bringing the intensity on Tuesday night—Roosevelt Park was on fire as the top four squads in the Downtown Division battled it out for kickball glory. With sharp defense, clutch kicks, and just enough chaos to keep things fun, the night was packed with everything you'd want in a championship run.

In the first semifinal, #1 seed Los Kickers took on #4 The Degenerates, who came into the matchup as dangerous underdogs. The Degenerates didn’t go down easy, applying pressure early and keeping things tight with some aggressive base running and solid fielding. But Los Kickers stayed composed, using their playoff experience and clean execution to edge out a 4-2 win and earn their spot in the title game.

The second semifinal saw #2 Just Another 2sday... clash with #3 Pitches be Brazy in what turned into an electric and slightly chaotic affair. “Pitches” came out swinging (well, kicking), putting together a string of well-placed bunts and deep bombs to jump ahead. Despite a late push from Just Another 2sday..., it wasn’t enough to slow the momentum. Pitches be Brazy sealed the 5-3 upset and punched their ticket to the finals with swagger.

That set the stage for a true heavyweight showdown: #1 Los Kickers vs. #3 Pitches be Brazy.

The championship lived up to the hype. Both teams came out locked in, with defensive gems and clutch plays keeping the score tight throughout. Pitches be Brazy stayed aggressive on the bases, forcing errors and keeping the pressure on. But Los Kickers never blinked.

Pitches threatened a comeback in the final frame, but Los Kickers held strong and closed out a nail-biting 3-2 win to claim the championship crown. 🏆

With poise, hustle, and a little bit of dirt on their cleats, Los Kickers proved why they’ve been the team to beat all season long. Huge props to all the teams in this upper division—this was a playoff run to remember. 👟🥎🔥

Swingin Dingers Seal the Deal!

Tuesday night brought some serious action to Roosevelt Park as the Midtown Division wrapped up its season with a playoff bracket that had no shortage of fireworks. From wild scoring to clutch defensive stops, all four semifinalists left it all on the grass in a battle for kickball glory.

In the first semifinal, #1 seed Balls of Duty had their hands full with the feisty #4 Toe Jammerz, who came ready to cause chaos. The Jammerz kept it close from start to finish, staying within striking distance and putting pressure on every play. But Balls of Duty showed why they earned that top seed—holding off a late push to escape with a narrow 4-3 victory and a spot in the final.

Meanwhile, the other semifinal featured an offensive slugfest between #2 Swingin Dingers and #3 Kickball Z. This one had it all—huge kicks, aggressive base running, and lead changes that kept the crowd on edge. In the end, the Dingers lived up to their name, delivering clutch kicks late in the game to squeak out a 7-6 win and book their ticket to the championship.

That set up a showdown between the top two seeds: Balls of Duty vs. Swingin Dingers.

The final was a gritty, low-scoring affair—tight defense, smart kicking, and tension in every inning. With nerves of steel and some late-game heroics, Swingin Dingers stormed back, plating two critical runs and shutting the door with a picture-perfect final inning. Final score: 2-1.

With that, Swingin Dingers completed their climb to the top and claimed the Midtown Division title! 🏆🔥

Big congrats to all the teams who made this such a competitive and entertaining season. Midtown brought the energy all summer long—and Swingin Dingers brought it home.

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
