The Sunday Intermediate playoffs at Grant Park wrapped up with a familiar ending: the #1 Sunday Arachnids 🦂 once again standing on top. The defending champs came into the night with confidence and backed it up with another dominant postseason run to secure their second straight championship.
The semifinals opened with the Arachnids facing #4 One Kick Wonders, and the top seed wasted no time setting the tone. They put together inning after inning of steady offense and clean fielding, cruising to an 11–4 victory and punching their ticket back to the finals. In the other semifinal, #2 Kickin It Old School squared off against #3 Jaywalkers, pulling out a tight and defensive 3–1 win to earn their spot in the championship matchup.
The finals brought the top two seeds together, and while the Arachnids 🦂controlled most of the game, it wasn’t without drama. Sunday Arachnids 🦂built a strong lead behind consistent kicking and smart base running, but Kickin It Old School refused to back down, rallying late to close the gap. Still, the defending champs stayed composed, tightened up defensively, and finished the night with an 8–5 victory to lock in their back-to-back title.
Two seasons, two championships. They played smart, steady, and confident all night long — and proved once again why the Grant Park throne belongs to them. Congratulations to the Sunday Arachnids 🦂 on another outstanding season!
