"Team Iceland" has won our inaugural Wednesday night soccer league by the final of 5-0 in a dominant championship performance.
Not only was their championship win dominant, so was their entire season! They'd finish with an 8-0 record, thanks in part to being one of the highest scoring teams this season. Only once did they score less than five goals, and that came in the middle of the season against "Team B". They even managed to score 8 and 9 goals in separate games!
On the flip-side "Team Iceland" was just as good on the defensive end. They did have a bit of a hiccup with 7 goals allowed just once, but other than that their defense was elite. Through their eight games they were able to pick up two shutouts, with the more impressive one coming in the championship.
Congratulations to "Team Iceland" on a fantastic performance as they continue to reign supreme in our soccer leagues. We can't wait to see if they are able to defend their Wednesday night title in the upcoming season!
