“Spikeasourus Rex” are the Thursday Intermediate Volleyball Champions of the Late Fall ‘24 Season, after defeating “Block Party” 2-1!
It was the playoffs for Thursday Intermediate volleyball last night and it did not disappoint! After two very hard fought semifinal matches, the championship was finally set. “Spikeasourus Rex” and “Block Party” were the last two teams remaining in the tournament and no one knew who was going to take home the title! “Spikeasourus Rex” jumped out of the gates on fire in the first game and won 23-21. It looked like “Spikeasourus Rex” were going to be crowned the champions after the second game but “Block Party” had other ideas for game two. “Block Party” changed up their game plan and was able to win the second set 21-18 with their amazing teamwork! It was tied up after two games between these two heavy weights and it all came down to the third and final game. “Spikeasourus Rex” took an early lead in the third set with some incredible serves but “Block Party” came right back with some impressive rallies of their own. “Spikeasourus Rex” was able to find a groove late in the third game and won 21-17 to become the champions of Thursday Intermediate Volleyball!
Congratulations to “Spikeasourus Rex” on becoming the Thursday Intermediate Champions of the Late Fall ‘24 season!
