"Pound Town" Puts Beating On League

"Pound Town" is our Monday advanced volleyball league champion following a tough 2-1 championship game win last night. '

From start to finish "Pound Town" was certainly the cream of the crop. During the regular season they only lost once to "Red Hots" who it seems just got red hot that night. Aside from that blemish on their record, "Pound Town" finished with a 7-1 record to make them a heavy favorite to win the final. They were also in the midst of a five-game winning streak heading into that game, giving them a good bit of steam for the final game.

Earlier that night was a game between "Team A" and "Red Hots" to determine who who would play in the championship game. Without much struggle, "Team A" was able to win the game 3-0, sealing their spot in the championship game.

"Team A", was quite inconsistent throughout the season. They were unable to pick up much momentum from match to match and because of that finished with a 4-4 record. But, that last and final win was all they needed to get to the final, where anything could happen.

In the championship game "Team A" gave it their all and even picked up a game on "Pound Town", but it wasn't enough. "Pound Town" was ready for everything their opponent threw at them, and in the end picked up the 2-1 win to seal the championship.

Congrats to "Pound Town" on the fantastic season, and we hope to see them go for back-to-back titles next season!

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
