Champs

  A Tribe Called Kick

Can they kick it? Yes, they can!

"A Tribe Called Kick" is our Sunday kickball champion, hanging on to win with a 5-4 scoreline in the final. This after an 11-1 shellacking in the first round of the playoffs over "Deep Dish".

In the championship game both offenses got off to hot starts, picking up a couple of runs each and ending the first inning at 2-2. "A Tribe Called Kick" would continue that into the next three innings, picking up a run each time to increase their lead to 5-2, while their defense kicked in and played well. In a last ditch effort in the bottom of sixth "4th Base" put up a fight, scoring twice, but they were unable to completely fight back against the league's top team.

It was an incredibly successful season for our champs, finishing with a 9-1 record including the playoffs. They also managed a +37 point differential, both great feats for any team, let alone a rag-tag group of individuals. Their lone loss came early in the season to "4th Base", though that loss was avenged twice, once later in the season and of course in the championship game.

The championship win is a fitting end to their season after cruising atop the league standings for a while. Congratulations to "A Tribe Called Kick" on the great season!

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
