Son of a Gun

"Sons of Pitches" is our Friday softball champion, knocking our "CoreMark" in the championship game by the score of 14-4.

It was a rough start to the season for "Sons of Pitches", dropping the first game of the season to last season's champion 15-6. But, thanks to their championship pedigree, "Sons of Pitches" righted the ship and would never lose again. At one point they did tie "Multiple Scoregasms" by the score of 4-4, but other than that it was wins across the board. Throughout the winning streak their defense was their strength, keeping opponents to 4 or less runs in 6 of those 7 games.

In the highly anticipated championship game it was "Sons of Pitches" who blew the doors off their opponent. While "CoreMark" was the top team all season, their defense was no match for our champs and their high-powered offense. In fact, it was "Swamp Donkeys" who gave "Sons of Pitches" the biggest run for their money in a 4-2 semifinal game. At the end of the day though, it was all smiles for "Sons of Pitches".

Congratulations to "Sons of Pitches" on the title!

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
