Cornhole - Fridays (Late Fall '16)

"Sack to the Future" is our Friday Cornhole champion after a night of close games. Entering the night as the #3 seed they had a shot to win with a strong 7-1-1 record from the regular season, but they knew it would take multiple great games to get the job done.

Things got off to a tough start for our eventual champions against #6 "Zac Who?" in our closest game of round 1. "Sack to the Future" was forced to go a full five games in order finally win 3-2, but win they did.

In round two they took on the underdog role in their bout against #2 "Sac'd", a team they had tied 2-2 earlier in the season. This one was another barn-burner and again, "Sack to the Future" went the full five games before they were finally able to dispose of their opponent 3-2.

On the other side of the bracket we had a huge upset with "Quadruple Penetration" knocking out the #1 ranked "Unprotected Sacks" 3-2 in a heated matchup. No doubt "Quadruple Penetration" Was firing on all cylinders, especially after a 3-0 sweep in round one. Either way the upset set up our championship game between "Sack to the Future" and Quadruple Penetration".

In the championship game it was more of the same for "Sack to the Future", picking up wins slowly but surely while "Quadruple Penetration" seemed to fizzle out. They just weren't the same team we saw from the first two rounds, perhaps using up their best games earlier on that night. In the end "Sack to the Future" was just the better team, and they took the 3-1 win along with their spot atop the podium!

Congratulations to "Sack to the Future" on their fantastic season. Thanks to their strong consistent performance throughout the night, and even through the season, they are rightfully this season's champions!
